To begin, you will need:
Terracotta pots
white chalk paint
black acrylic paint
silver acrylic paint
medium sized paint brush
washi tape
medium sized pen
Clear acrylic spray paint (sealer)
STEP ONE
Start by painting each pot with two coats of paint whilst leaving a few minutes between each coat.
*I painted one pot white, the second black and third silver.
STEP TWO – POLKA DOTS

For the polka dot pot, dip the back of a medium sized pen into black acrylic paint and randomly dot around the pot.
STEP THREE – GEOMETRIC PATTERN

Cut pieces of washi tape and add them to the remaining pots, creating peaked triangular shapes.
I did this very randomly at the centre of both pots and decided to create three peaked triangular shapes.
Press the tape down firmly with your fingertips. I used white and black acrylic paint for the triangular peaks on the silver pot.
The triangular peaks on the black pot were painted silver, white and silver.
*Why not try shades of yellows, pinks or blues for your triangular peaks?
Leave for one hour to dry before removing the washi tape.
STEP FOUR – SEAL YOUR DESIGN
For long lasting planters spray with clear spray sealer. Add just one top coat of the sealer to make your pot waterproof. With just one coat you’re guaranteed a long-lasting design.
*Allow the sealant to dry overnight.

Will you be recreating these plant pot designs?
