You will need:
500g granulated Sugar
200ml organic coconut oil
5 drops of peppermint essential oil
4 drops of almond extract
4 drops of red food colouring
Candy cane for decoration
Mini wooden spoons
x2 250ml mason jars or one 500ml jar
Divide the sugar and coconut oil evenly between two bowls so that you have 250g of sugar and 100ml of coconut oil in each bowl.
*If you’re using cold-pressed coconut oil, gently melt the oil on a low setting in the microwave before measuring out.
Add five drops of peppermint oil to your first bowl.
Next, add 4 drops of red food colouring to the same bowl.
Add four drops of almond extract to your second bowl.
Stir the mixture in your first bowl until the colour is evenly mixed. Combine the mixture in your second bowl.
Using a mini wooden spoon, carefully spoon the almond mixture horizontally into your jar.
Spoon your red mixture for the middle layer before adding your almond mixture for your top layer. This recipe gives you enough sugar scrub to fill two small 250ml mason jars or one big mason jar.
Complete your candy cane spa in a jar with just a few extra touches. Crushed sugar cane topping for extra colour and bakers twine for a festive touch.
