Our Wedding Day

After two long months of patiently waiting for our wedding photographs to arrive, we are beyond excited and exceptionally thrilled with them. I can finally show you our wedding pictures and share some background information on our décor and list of vendors.

It has been such an incredible experience and I do hope that I am able to provide you with some helpful planning tips and inspiration for current and future brides to be!

And now, without further ado, I present to you our wedding day photographs captured by the most creative photographer Nathan Wyatt.

Everything I ever wanted in a wedding dress and more. A classic, fairytale dress made of tulle, topped with a lace floral design that glistened in the sun.

Originally a sweat heart neckline designed by Novia D’Art; I never truly wanted an off the shoulder dress.

My fairy Godmother, the most talented and patient bridal couture dress maker, Roxy from Atelier Gold made all my wedding dress dreams come true. After numerous visits to her Brighton studio (I kept changing my mind about the style of my dress), I finally decided on the sleeves and neckline detailing. We had to order extra lace from the Spanish design studio. This was about three to four weeks before we took off to Santorini. The extra lace arrived on time and worked seamlessly with my custom made neckline and 3 quarter sleeves.

I wanted a veil to set off the tone of my dress and decided upon a one tier lace appliqué veil embellished with delicate beads and sequins. This was a perfect choice for our ceremony venue. Our venue overlooked the Caldera, trust me the high cliffs calls for some breezy windswept shots, hence why I chose a mid length veil.

Followed by the accessories:

Rock Studs

Diamante Earrings

Bridal Hair Comb

Something borrowed; pearl necklace from mum.

A true original suit, tailor made and customised by Moss Bros.

Our ceremony was scheduled for 5pm due to the scorching weather. This was a perfect time to start as we could spend more time relaxing in the morning whilst getting ready. We decided to incorporate a first look photography, a moment for Charlie and I to see each other before the ceremony. I managed to squeeze in a first look with my brides babes, mum and also my dad. This presented me with the opportunity to gift them with little mementos.

A little token of appreciation for my bridesmaids.

Silver bracelets from John Lewis

Personalised illustration of mum and I from Etsy.

Dad was gifted with special socks for a special walk.

The first look photographs worked perfectly for our timings of the day as it meant we got to spend more time with guests during the reception party.

The inspiration behind our wedding was a combination of industrial gold’s, greenery and geometric shapes. Both our ceremony and reception venues were truly magical. We chose natural colours as not to distract away from the jaw dropping views.

From my classical fairytale gown with glistening lace, to the mirrored lighting upon entering our reception venue; the welcome table and greenery displayed amongst our sweetheart table and guest tables, my overall vision for our wedding came together perfectly. I remember taking a moment while seated to look around our reception venue and savour in a truly special moment with those whom we care about so dearly. It was truly remarkable, with a guest count of 138, the atmosphere felt intimate.

I kept it simple and opted for a mixture of white David Austin roses, avalanche roses and greenery. We had the same mixture of roses for the bridesmaid’s bouquets, groomsmen boutonnieres and the centrepieces at our reception.

We selected a mixture of two geometrical vases with avalanche roses, some scattered greenery and a couple of candles for our reception tables.

Greenery leaves were used to decorate our wedding cake.

I loved our welcome table, decorated with windproof candles on gold stands, a large vase with floral arrangement and two gold lanterns on either side of the table. We had the same matching flowers next to our gold lanterns.

Most brides dream of their big day before they meet the one and say ‘I do’. I have always pictured a day full of happy faces, perfect weather and heavenly views. Santorini ticked all the boxes for our dream wedding. Choosing a wedding venue without ever seeing it and going with recommendations from friends and family was the best decision. We chose a venue which overlooked the Aegean sea. Santo Winery was just perfect for our ceremony.

Yes, you read that right, the second dress of mermaid dreams, a touch of bling for an evening of dancing. The show stopper red dress made by the gorgeous Linda at Cobbina Studios.

Linda adds so much glamour and bedazzle to your wedding dress, I just couldn’t miss out on having a fitted sparkly number. Trust me having a second dress with so much beading and sequins worked seamlessly with our venue. Our wedding videographer and photographer captured this moment perfectly well.

I can’t wait to show you our wedding trailer.

We both love the beach and sounds of waves clashing against rocks.

Oceanids Estate set amongst a private beach with a beautiful and lucid skyline was the most romantic and spectacular setting for our reception. I remember listening to the sounds of the waves as we dined to chilled jazz music from the likes of Jimmy Cobb to Horace Silver’s Song for my farther.

We both wanted a traditional Greek menu.

Our guests were seated to a BBQ Cyclades menu with a mix of traditional Greek cuisine alongside local Greek wines.

We cannot thank our friends and family enough for attending our special day or sending well wishes from afar.

We love you all SO much!
