It’s jam packed with healthy ingredients to help boost your endurance during a workout session, all thanks to the natural boost of beetroot juice known to increase the flow of oxygen around the body. This Red Velvet smoothie is very filling and perfect for your morning get ups.
If your super busy why not chop up all the ingredients into a food bag and store in the fridge ready to blend the next morning.
- 1 beetroot, cut into chunks
- 1/2 banana
- 300ml low fat yogurt
- 5 ice cubes
- 150g pitted fresh cherries
No need to parboil the beetroot before you start, simply place your chopped up beetroot into your blender/electric juicer. Add the pitted cherries and the remaining ingredients, blend until smooth and creamy.

P.S. For a less creamy recipe why not replace the low fat yogurt with coconut milk and add vanilla pods for extra flavour.
